<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the function of a fuse by a method wherein, when an excessive current is allowed to flow to a resistor, at least two trimmed parts are burnt out and a circuit is opened. CONSTITUTION:When an excessive current is allowed to flow to the circuit on which a resistor 2 is used, the circuit between the first laser trimming cut 3a and the second laser trimming cut 3b, or between the trimming cut 3b and the third trimming cut 3d is opened by burning out. To be more precise, the interval between the first laser trimming cut 3a and the second laser trimming cut 3b is formed narrow in advance, and so is that between the trimming cuts 3b and 3d. Also, pertaining to longitudinal direction, the overlapped part 3c of the first and the third trimming cuts 3a and 3d, and the second trimming cut is determined taking into consideration of the current value when the circuit is normally operated. As a result, the title printed resistor catches little fire; it can be used as a fuse resistor without generation of cracks on the substrate.</p> |
