<p>PURPOSE:To enhance reading performance with inexpensive costs by switching the driving of a semiconductor laser in synchronization with a deflecting element. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor lasers 1 and 2 are alternately driven in response to the switching of the reflecting surface of a deflecting element 8. A driving signal can be obtained by inputting deflecting element position signals 15 and 16 obtained from a motor 7 and a driving circuit 6 to a laser power source switching part 5, and applying switching signals 17 and 18 inputted from the laser power source switching part 5 to special power sources 3 and 4. Reflected light from a bar code symbol is added by a light adding element 11, and guided to a photoelectric converting element 12 as the single reflected light. The output of the photoelectric converting element 12 is inputted through a video amplifier 13 to a decoding circuit 14.</p> |
