PURPOSE:To enable sufficient desilvering processing even in a short period of time by subjecting a color photosensitive material having silver halide emulsion layers consisting of chemically sensitized flat plate particles to color development, then processing the material with a processing liquid contg. a specific compd. as a bleaching agent. CONSTITUTION:The color photosensitive material having at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers consisting of the flat plate particles chemically sensitized in the presence of a sensitizing dye is subjected to the color development. The material is thereafter processed by the processing liquid which contains at least one kind of ferric complex salt of the compd. selected from ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid., cyclohexanediaminetetraacetic acid, and 1, 2-propylenediaminetetraacetic acid and ferric complex salt of 1,3-diaminopropanetetraacetic acid as the bleaching agent at the ratio of <=3 molar ratio of the former to the latter and has bleaching power. The good desilvering processing is thereby enabled in the desilvering processing after the color development of the high-sensitivity color photosensitive material. |
