<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the number of optical elements lost at the time of cleaning and loss due to damage on an optical face by a method wherein a tray which is molded in a form of simulated part similar to an optical device is made of a kind of silicone rubber resin, having holes wherein a part corresponding to an optical face being punched through are made so as to protect the optical face. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 2 to be used for an optical isolator is taken and a rod whose cross section is the same as that of an optical face to be exposed of the optical isolator is adhered to this magnet 2. This assembly is adhered to a box 3 having a lid with the magnet part downward. After the assembly is hardened, a kind of silicon rubber resin is poured into the box 3, and said mold is hardened in a thermostatic chamber for two hours and left under a low temperature of approx. 10 deg.C and then demolded. A tray for optical element thus produced is not apt to damage the optical face due to its material of silicone rubber. In addition, since an optical element can be easily fixed and is not apt to move, it is easy to clean the elements, without losing the elements during cleaning. It also prevents the elements from scattering during storage and being damaged during transportation.</p> |
