The drawers are locked by a lock (15) which acts on a bolt (14). The end of the bolt is curved downwards and engages in a hole in a rack (4), which moves vertically. Each drawer (1,2) has a hook (16,25) which also engages in holes (23,24) in the rack. The hooks have notches (g) which are engaged in the holes in the rack when this is in its top position and are released when the rack drops. A ramp (c) on each hook pushes the ramp up when a drawer is opened and the ramp is held up by a catch (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - The security system is for furniture with drawers and allows one drawer to be opened but the other drawers are locked.
