<p>Apparatus for the continuous feed of powdered or pasty materials from a lower pressure to a higher pressure chamber, comprising, (a) two housings, one of which is installed on the lower pressure chamber and the other on the higher pressure chamber, connected by two elastic tubes enclosed by two tubes of variable length but constant cross section, so as to provide a gas-tight interspace, as well as by variable length support struts, (b) a drive chain sprocket in one housing and a guide chain sprocket in the other housing, over which an endless chain runs via the elastic tubes, the sprockets having recesses for the contact free reception of pistons spaced at equal intervals along the chain, (c) a pressure equalising pipe opening into the empty elastic tube and a pressure pipe on each variable length constant sectiontube, all the pipes being connected to an external source.</p> |
