Device which makes it possible to make recesses in concrete, of the type which uses blocks (3) placed on the bottom of the mould and comprises lateral lugs (4), characterised in that use is made of bracing elements (5) which are capable of fitting partially into the ends of the lugs (4) of the blocks (3) and abutting with one another. The bracing element (5) has at one end a shouldered part (6), of smaller cross-section, which is capable of fitting into a recess (7) of the lugs (4) of the block and at its other end a recess (8) identical to that mentioned above of the lugs, said recess (8) being capable of receiving either the shouldered end of another element or that of an assembly piece (9). The shouldered end of the bracing elements, the assembly pieces (9) and the recesses mentioned above have a semi-circular contour in cross-section. <IMAGE>
