A stable, universal invalid chair which can be adjusted in an easy and obvious manner comprises an upper frame (10) supported on one side by two spindle drives (9) and on the opposite side by one spindle drive (12). One arm of the angle between the two parallel spindle drives is fixed, thereby ensuring robust, reliable displacements which allow the upper frame to be safely adjusted at different heights and in different angular positions. Side supports (20) hinged to form a parallelogram serve as arm-rests which can be lowered or raised as desired. The lever arms connected to the connecting rods (21, 23) allow the inclination of the back-rest and the leg supports (15, 16) to be adjusted by means of supporting rollers (25, 26). |
