<p>Absorbent for carbon dioxide or for carbon dioxide and oxygen, comprising cement brick in the form of shaped bodies, lumps or a powder which, in addition to gel pores, contains larger pores and, for the absorption of oxygen, also iron powder; a method of preparing such absorbent by setting, hardening and drying a cement paste containing cement, a water-soluble inorganic salt, at least 50 parts by weight of water per 100 parts by weight of cement, and for the absorption of oxygen, also iron powder; and the use of said absorbent in a package containing ground or non-ground roasted coffee.</p> |
