PURPOSE:To clearly perform a display for an index and for classification without confusion by combining a developing means which switches color on the way and index mark imprinting function when a latent image formed by one copying operation is developed. CONSTITUTION:An index mark B is provided on the side of a document placing part A, projected on a photosensitive body F together with the image of an original I, and transferred on a copying sheet E. A first control means H receives a position setting signal which comes from an index mark position setting means D, and a signal which comes from a mode selecting means C; said signal means the selection or the non-selection of an index mark imprinting mode. Then, the control means H controls an erasing means G. When the boundary point of the repeating feeding of many documents I by automatic document feeding means J is detected by a detecting means L in a state that the index mark imprinting mode is selected, a second control means M is activated and controls the developing means K. Said control is performed in the way that the color of an index mark part is different from the color in the last copying operation when latent image development is performed when the original I is copied. |
