PURPOSE:To ensure a negative recording without the adhesion of dust etc., by incorporating a specific crystalline metallic oxide or the fine particles of the composite metallic oxides in one of the layers forming a thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material as a carrier consists of the following 4 layers: (1) a heat sensitive layer formed by applying a coating liquid including emulsion dispersant and discoloring agent obtained by dissolving coloress or light colored basic pigment precursor and color developer into an organic solvent, onto the carrier and dried; (2) a protective layer located on the heat sensitive layer; (3) a prime coating layer located under the heat sensitive layer; (4) a back layer located on the back side of the carrier. At least one crystalline metallic oxide selected from among ZnO, TiO, SnO2, Al2O3, In2O3, SiO2, MgO, BaO, and MoO3 or the fine particles of the composite metallic oxides of these oxides is incorporated in one of the aforesaid layers. |
