PURPOSE:To reduce remakably the coefficient of thermal expansion of a grinding wheel to reduce extremely dimensional change in a rotary shaft to temperature rise or the like by making the most part of a bed metal of a super-grain grinding wheel with ceramics. CONSTITUTION:A ring 2 made of aluminum or aluminum alloy is closely attached to the outer periphery of a disk 1 made of perforated ceramics to form a bed metal of a grinding wheel. A grinding wheel layer 3 of super-grain such as CBN, diamond, etc. fixed by resin bond is attached closely to the outer periphery of the ring 2 of this bed metal to provide a super-grain grinding wheel which has an extremely small dimensional change to temperature rise or the like. |
