PURPOSE:To make the input speed high, by providing 6 keys, which take partial charge of prescribed functions, in stages lower than the fifth stage of an input device. CONSTITUTION:Keys ''nu'', ''fu'', ''a'', ''u'', ''o'', ''ya'', ''yu'', ''yo'', ''wa'', ''ho'', ''he'', and ''-'' are arranged in order from the left in the first stage of the input device, and keys are arranged similarly in the second, the third, and the fourth stages to indicate Kana (Japanese syllabary) characters and symbols. A key 1 in the first - the fourth stages and a key in stages lower than the fifth stage are depressed simultaneously with a finger out of a forefinger - a little finger and a thumb respectively to indicate one Kanji (Chinese character). In this case, two sets of keys 2 and 3 are provided which take partial charge of the function indicating that Kanji consists of a single sound, the function indicating that Kanji consists of a long sound, functions indicating that the second and following sounds are ''i'' or ''you'', etc. Further, one set of keys 4 and 5 is provided which takes partial charge of the function indicating omission and the function indicating a voiced sound. |
