PURPOSE:To make unnecessary a function to multiplex/demultiplex each signal for a terminal equipment or a subscriber line termination equipment by using the signal in the voice band of a PB signal, etc., as the subscriber line signal of a broad band exchange, and directly controls the broad band exchange from a telephone set. CONSTITUTION:First, AAAA is dialed from a telephone set 12, it is made to reach a signal transmitter-receiver 3b, and then, a self-telephone number to be a calling side and the number of a called person are dialed. The transmitter- receiver 3b recognizes the numbers of the calling person and the called person, it notifies a control unit 2b, and the control device 2b forms the paths of the calling person and the called person. The calling person once disconnects the line to the transmitter-receiver 3b, calls him again, dials the number of the called person, and sends the signal to the called person. When a call is attained, he tells that it is television telephone communication through the telephone, and asks the called person to set the video transmitter-receiver 5 on the called person side at an operated condition.
