The invention relates to a mechanical injection pump governor with a centrifugal weight device, the centrifugal forces of which act by way of a sleeve on a spring retainer initially triggering the negative adjustment and after a pause on a further spring retainer triggering the positive adjustment, with a two-armed fulcrum lever, the arms of which are capable of rotating independently of one another and which has a rocker lever fixed to the lower arm, in which lever the upper arm is guided, spring-loaded, and in addition with a spring retainer interacting with the upper arm of the fulcrum lever, the spring of which can be pressured by the upper arm only on commencement of the positive adjustment.
