PURPOSE:To eliminate both need for use of cotton cloth in preparing bean curd and problems in sanitary aspects and enable mechanization and automation, by providing many holes passing water contained the bean curd therethrough without passing the bean curd in required parts of a forming box and pressing lid of an apparatus for forming bean curd. CONSTITUTION:For example, an apparatus for preparing bean curd is constituted of a forming box 11, formed into the shape of a deep rectangular parallelepipedic box, having the opened top and consisting of drum walls 21 and bottom wall 22, made of stainless steel and having upward tapered parts 23 in the top opening edges of the drum wall 21 and a square plate pressing lid 12, capable of being housed at a slight interval from the drum walls 21 and made of stainless steel. Large and small reinforcing ribs 31 and 32 are erected in the edge central parts of the pressing lid 12 and saddle-like holder 41 fixed to the top surface ot the pressing lid 12 is secured to a vertical rodlike shank 42. On the other hand, e.g., holes 24 of about 0.8mm diameter are bored at about 4mm pitch in parts except the corner parts at the lower half of the drum walls 21 and holes 25 of about 8mm diameter are similarly bored at about 2.5mm pitch in parts except peripheral parts of the bottom wall 22. Holes 33 of about 0.8mm diameter are similarly bored at about 1.2mm pitch on almost the whole pressing lid 12. |
