A method of processing photographic silver halide colour negative film and colour negative paper each through its own colour developing solutions wherein the paper colour developing solution is replenished and the overflow from this replenished solution is used to replenish the film colour developing solution and wherein (a) the colour paper is based on substantially pure silver chloride emulsions and contains no more than 1% molar silver bromide based on total silver halide and (b) both colour developing solutions and the replenisher are free from benzyl alcohol. i
