<p>PURPOSE:To enable recording information for a recording medium to be noted by a pencil without increasing the thickness of the recording medium, by making at least one part of a protective member of the recording medium larger in surface roughness than the other part thereof. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a memory card body 1 is coated with an UV resin layer 5 for insulating an IC memory chip and a printing wiring. This UV resin layer 5 is further coated with a surface protective sheet 2 made of a polyester etc. The surface protective sheet 2 is partially or wholly coated and surface-treated to have a large surface roughness so as to allow writing by a pencil or erasure. After this treatment, the thickness of an IC memory card is made approximately the same as that of the prior art.</p> |
