PURPOSE: To realize three-dimensional survey scanning a scene using a roughly directed beam, measuring the direction of radiated beam and calculating the three spacial coordinates for each scanning point through triangulation. CONSTITUTION: When a photosensitive element 22 receiving a beam 23 projected from a light source 17 and reflected on a mirror 13 is known, the angleβof mirror 13 with respect to an axis 3 can be measured. A beam 31 diffused by a light spot 25 provides one image on a photosentive element 32 mounted on a rod 30. When the element 32 is determined, the angleβbetween the axis 3 and a line connecting the optical center 29 of a camera 27 and a point of collimation 25 can be measured. Solution of a triangle (14, 25, 29) can be obtained based on the length of base of triangulation, i.e., the distance between the optical center 29 of camera 27 and the axis of rotation 14 of the mirror 13, and the anglesβ,γ.
