The invention relates to an apparatus for producing prefabricated wall elements using masonry blocks which are set along a prefabricated wall by a displaceable laying device with mortar nozzles. In this arrangement, the mortar nozzles are mounted such that they can be adjusted transversely to the prefabricated wall and they are prestressed with respect to the prefabricated wall, at least one nozzle exhibiting a roller, by means of which it rolls along the prefabricated wall. Consequently, equidistant guidance of the mortar nozzles relative to the prefabricated wall, and thus a more accurate application of mortar, is ensured even over large prefabricated-wall lengths.
