<p>A surface coating contg. a liquid epoxy resin and a hardener is applied to a substrate by applying (i) an insulating layer contg. the epoxy resin, hardener, particles of a foamed material and particles of an unfoamed solid filler. The coating is used in road construction, esp. for raised highways, and more esp. for lifting-bridges. The surface is light in weight, cheap, easy to produce and to apply. It has low heat conduction, and can therefore is used as flooring in constant-temp. rooms.</p> |
