<p>PURPOSE:To enhance inertial supercharging effect and resonant supercharging effect by providing a radial bulkhead, whose center corresponds with a central axis of a straight shaped intake passage, to inner space of downstream part of the intake passage, equally dividing the inner space to form passages of the same number as cylinders, and connecting respective passages to respective cylinders via branch passages whose length are almost the same. CONSTITUTION:A downstream part, which is lower than a throttle valve 16 in an intake pipe 13 that is connected to an intake outlet of an air cleaner 11, is formed into such a truncated cone shape as a passage bore gradually enlarges toward a downstream end, and an intake manifold 17 is connected to the downstream end. In an upstream part of the intake manifold 17, inner space of a circular cross section is equally divided to form passage 18A-18D whose cross sections are sector and whose numbers are the same as that of cylinders by a bulkhead 17a which is formed into radial and whose center corresponds with the central axis of the passage. Downstream ends of respective passages 18A-18D are connected to respective cylinders via branch passages 19A-19D whose length are almost the same. And a fuel injection valve 20 is attached to downstream end parts of the respective branch passages 19A-19D. The intake pipe 13 at the upstream side to the bulkhead 17a is provided straight to the air cleaner 11.</p> |
