PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance and printing resistance by providing a layer structure consisting of a charge generating layer/charge transfer layer/ pigment-dispersed layer/wear-resistant resin layer on a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body has the layer structure consisting of the charge generating layer 4/the charge transfer layer 3/the pigment- dispersed layer 2/the wear-resistant resin layer 1 on the conductive base 5. The wear resistance improves if the wear-resistant resin layer 1 is used on the surface of the photosensitive body; however, the wear-resistant resin layer 1 alone has no charge transferability and, therefore, the residual charge which is not annihilated by photoirradiation is increased by the presence of this layer 1. The pigment-dispersed layer 2 is consequently formed between the wear- resistant resin layer 1 and the charge transfer layer 3 to decrease the residual charge as the charge-injected layer. The wear resistance and printing resistance are thereby improved. |
