PURPOSE:To vary the color temp. with a single light source by allowing a fluorescent substance affixed to the inner surface of a light permeative shell to emit visual light by means of electronic excitation, and by furnishing a control means to emit visual light by heat emission from an incandescent filament cathode. CONSTITUTION:An anode consists of a transparent conductive film 6 affixed to the inner surface of a glass tube 5. Fluorescent substance 7 is applied to the inner surface of this film 6. A comparatively high DC voltage V1 is impressed between a lead 1 internally connected with this film 6 and another lead 2 connected with one end of an incandescent filament cathode 4 in such an arrangement that the lead 1 will become positive electrode, while a voltage V2 is impressed between the lead 2 and a third lead 3 in connection with the other end of the cathode 4. Accordingly hot electrons are emitted from the filament 4 and accelerated, and the fluorescent substance 7 is energized to emit light. The cathode 4, on the other hand, emits incandescent light, and consequently the light emitted to outside the glass tube 5 assumes white as the two are mixed. Therein change of the voltages V1, V2 enables emission of any desired color. |
