The apparatus for visually transferring the expression on a human face to an imitation plastic head (10) is characterised in that - the plastic head (10) has a cavity (20) to accommodate an actor (30), - a video recording camera (32) is immovably arranged in the cavity (20) of the plastic head (10), its lens (31) being directed towards the face (30a) of the actor (30) in the zero vision axis of the actor (30) and of the plastic head (10), - the plastic head (10) with the actor (30) is mounted to be movable about a plurality of axes (41, 42, 43), which essentially coincide with movement axes of the head (30a) of the actor (30) and - a video projector (60) is provided as an image projector. The effect of this design of the apparatus is that the plastic head appears as the moving, living image of a human head. <IMAGE>
