<p>PURPOSE:To stably detect a CTL signal by providing a control signal processing means to extract a signal from the signal reproduced by a rotary head by a control signal extraction means and to generate a control signal for various kind of control by using the signal. CONSTITUTION:The deviation of the CTL signal 500 reproduced by the rotary head 6 and 7 is detected at a timing detection circuit 15, and the tracking of the rotary heads 6 and 7 can be performed accurately as complementing the deviation at the time of recording the CTL signal to supply an error signal 800 corresponding to the deviation to a phase comparator 19 as an offset. Also, it is possible to discriminate the presence/absence of a video signal based on the presence/absence of the CTL signal 500. In addition to that, since the CTL signal 500 can be obtained at the rotary heads 6 and 7, a position where the CTL signal 500 is obtained is regulated and remains unchanged over when a tape path is changed by the mode of a VTR, the detecting range of the CTL signal can be expanded stably and inexpensively without adding an unrequired component such as a dedicated head for reproducing the CTL signal, etc.</p> |
