PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity of a sintering furnace and obtain unsintered ceramics with remarkably reduced heat source, by forming a blend liquid consisting of a ceramic based substance, lignin, cellulosic fiber, montmorillonite and liquid medium or coating a material to be coated therewith and drying the resultant formed body or coating layer. CONSTITUTION:The first step of forming a blend liquid prepared by blending so as to contain a ceramic based material with lignin, cellulosic fiber, montmorillonite and a liquid medium into a prescribed shape to form a formed body or coating a material to be coated to form a coating layer and the second step of drying the above-mentioned formed body or coating layer are successively carried out. Alumina, silica, silicon nitride, silicon carbide, etc., can be used as the ceramic based substance, but red mud or slag can be also used. In this case, wastes are effectively utilized. Lignin and cellulosic fiber are used as a mixture liquid with a liquid medium, e.g., water, and a pulp waste liquor can be effectively utilized as the mixture liquid. |
