<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid crystal display device which is free from degradation in image quality regardless of a large screen and has a high production yield by arranging a scanning electrode substrate having first thin film trnasistors TRs arranged in matrix and a signal electrode substrate having second thin film TRs so that these substrates oppose to each other. CONSTITUTION:The scanning electrode substrate is provided where gate electrodes and drain electrodes 4 of thin film TRs are connected to scanning electrodes 1 and source electrodes 5 are connected to transparent display electrodes 6 to constitute picture elements in matrix. The signal electrode substrate is provided where gate electrodes 3' and drain electrodes 4' of second thin film TRs are connected to signal electrodes 2 and source electrodes 5' are connected to transparent display electrodes 6' to constitute picture elements in matrix. The scanning electrode substrate and the signal electrode substrate are opposed to each other and are assembled by a prescribed method to form a liquid crystal display device. Thus, scanning electrodes 1 and signal electrodes 2 do not cross in the same substrate, and the yield is high and the element characteristic is stable.</p> |
