PURPOSE:To obtain an image of picture quality having no irregularity by making the surface roughness of a developer carrying means larger than that of a developer layer forming means which layers a developer on the surface of the developer carrying means. CONSTITUTION:The surface roughness of the developer carrying means 5 is made larger than that of the developer layer forming means 9. The conveying force of the developer carrying means 5 becomes larger than the inhibiting force of the developer layer forming means 9 and a proper amount of the developer T is carried onto the developer carrying means 5. Consequently, the uniform developer layer can be formed on the developer carrying means 5, and consequently the developing device is obtained which develops an image of uniform image density and high picture quality having no irregularity. |
