A steel laminate gasket for an internal combustion engine comprises a first plate A50 and a second plate (A51) situated adjacent to the first plate, the first plate being provided with a first base section A50a with, first and second openings A52 and A53 formed therein and a first sealing structure A50b, A50c, and A50d integrally formed with the first base section around the first opening. The second plate (A51) is provided with a second base section A51a over the first base section A50a, a third opening A59 formed in the second base section round the first opening A52, a fourth opening A60 formed in the second base section, and a second sealing strucure A51b integrally formed with the second base section around the fourth opening. When the first and second plates A50 and A51 are assembled, the first and second sealing structures do not lie over the second and first plates, respectively, and seal around holes of the engine. <IMAGE>
