<p>PURPOSE:To easily understand the direction of the destination and the distance up to said destination from a display picture, by providing a destination setting function to both of an operation apparatus and a signal processor and displaying the present position and advance direction of a vehicle, the destination and the straight line connecting the destination and the present position on the map of the display picture. CONSTITUTION:The position data of a vehicle is calculated on the basis of the detection signals from distance and azimuth detectors 3, 4 and the operational function of a signal processor 2. The image data of a map is regenerated from a recording medium 7a through a regeneration apparatus 7 to read predetermined data which are, in turn, subjected to combined display on a display device 6 by the processor 2 while held to said processor 2. At this time, the destination is indicated and displayed by the operation switch and operation part of an operation apparatus 5 and a straight line is drawn between the destination and the present position of a vehicle. This function is mounted in the processor 2 to perform display on the map of the picture of the display device 6 at a predetermined position on the basis of the signal from the apparatus 5.</p> |
