<p>PURPOSE:To enable reduction of the outer size of a shield body without decreasing the size of a device, by a method wherein an excavated substance received by an excavator is discharged to a position in the front of the shield body through the cavity part of a rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:An excavated substance discharging machine 26 comprising a sludge processing tank 38, liquid pumps 40 and 50, valves 44, 46, and 54, a sludge partitioning mechanism 48, a casing 56, a slide pipe 58, and a pipe 60 for discharge is provided. Broken pieces of an existing pipe 12 crushed by an excavator 22 and an excavated substance containing excavated earth are mixed with liquid mad. The mixture, i.e. slurry, is guided to a cavity part 30 of a rotary shaft 96 through chambers 86 and 88, a flow passages 136 and 134, and a hole 132. The slurry can be discharged to a tank 38, mounted on a ground on the vertical pit side 20, through a pipe 60 for discharge connected to the rotary shaft 96 with the aid of a pump 50.</p> |
