<p>PURPOSE: To detect pattern defect in a printed wiring board promptly with sure by, with a substrate thinner than about 1.25mm while containing a light scattering medium, distributing a specific dye which emits fluorescence when interacted with light in the area of the substrate on the lower or upper side of a metallic pattern. CONSTITUTION: In the area of a substrate on the lower or upper side of a metallic pattern, a dye of substance containing one of chemical structure selected among the group of equations I and II is distributed. In the equation, Y is SO3 G (where, G is alkali metal cation) or H, R1 and R2 are hydrogen, methyl or ethyl respectively, R3 is resistance alkyl, p-tolyl, xylyl or hydrogen, and, Z<-> is Cl<-> , Br<-> , I<-> , NO3 <-> or P-toluenesulfonate. Attenuation in fluorescence in measurement is suppressed by introducing such scattering substance as titanium dioxide particle in the substrate together with the dye.</p> |
