<p>Fluoroelastomers consisting of hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride in a molar ratio fo 8 : 92 to 34 : 66 are prepd. by suspension polymsn. of the monomers in an aq. medium contg. 10 - 100 wt.% pref. 20 - 67 wt. % based on water, of a liq. halohydrocarbon, in the presence of an oil soluble radical polymsn. initiator at 1 - 45 degrees C under a pressure of 1 - 30 atm. Fluoroelastomers with a high elasticity, low permanent deformation, low Mooney viscosity and excellent resistance to heat and chemicals are obtd.</p> |
