PURPOSE: To obtain positional alignment with high accuracy without requiring labor by making the gears of respective impression cylinders connectable with gears equipped with servo drive mechanisms and rotating the gears of the impression cylinders to the position where a mark is detected by a detection means by the gears of the servo drive mechanism. CONSTITUTION: The teeth moving the teeth 43 of a center gear and the gears 2 of impression cylinders to an insertion position are aligned and the respective impression cylinders are positionally aligned for printing or, in a positionally aligning state, a fixed detection means is provided and a mark for detecting the respective impression cylinder gears is provided. The gears 2 of the respective impression cylinders are equipped with servo drive mechanisms 36, 46 to be connectable to certain gears and these gears are rotated the gears of the impression cylinders to the position where the mark 3 is detected by a proximate switch 4 being a detection means. The servo motors 36, 46 are controlled by an electronic calculator and the servo motor drives the respective impression cylinders 1 from the zero position determined by the mark 3 to an accurate printing position. |
