PURPOSE:To improve the reliability against creep leakage over a long period by using a sealing structure with a space holding a sealant between a cell can and a seal packing via the plastic deformation by compression. CONSTITUTION:A space holding a sealant 6 effective for preventing creep leakage is generated between the inner wall of a cell can 1 and a circular projection 3 added to a seal packing 2. For this method, after sealing by caulking, the cell can 1 is compressed in the axial direction, a sealing groove section 5 is bulged in the axial direction of the cell into contact with the circular projection 3, and the space 7 holding the sealant 6 is generated for the sealing structure. The holding effect of the sealant 6 is increased accordingly, an effect to prevent an alkaline electrolyte from infiltrating into the seal face is increased. The reliability against creep leakage is thereby improved over a long period. |
