PURPOSE:To enable the observation of the convex and concave states of the surface of a specimen by sample-holding ultrasonic wave reflection signal by means of sampling pulses of more than two series and displaying with a color specified. CONSTITUTION:A leakage burst wave electric signal P that is leaking from a circulator 3 and directly input from a high frequency pulse generator 2 and a reflection wave signal R that is an ultrasonic reflection wave converted into an electric signal are amplified and detected by a receiver 14. Delay pulse signals C1-C3 from delay pulse generator 15a-15c are respectively led to sample-holds 16a-16c, and the reflection wave reflection signal R' only is sample-hold. Individual signals are amplified by amplifiers 17a-17c, and led to a color scan converter 19, and an arbitrary color is specified for each of sample-hold signals of the series, and synchronized with the relative scannings of an acoustic lens 5 and a specimen 7 by the control signal from a scanning control device 11, and recorded as brightness signal of the specimen 7 at the corresponding position. In this way each signal with color specified is reproduced as an image by means of a color monitor. |
