The present invention relates to an improvement to running carriages for vehicles. The running carriage according to the invention includes at least two wheels and means for associating the wheels with the chassis of the vehicle comprising a beam 100, means for immobilizing the beam with respect to the chassis, substantially at a middle point, and two cams respectively secured at one of their ends to the two ends 101 of the beam, and is essentially characterized in that the means for securing at least one cam to one end of the beam include a sleeve 106 surrounding the beam in contact, at least one stud 112 mounted to project outwards and secured to the lateral wall of the sleeve, and at least one fibre 120 a first part 121 of which is wound over the beam and a second part 122 of which at least partly surrounds the stud.
