PURPOSE:To obtain the subject superconductor contg. superconducting phase at high concn., having a high critical current density and a desired shape easily without requiring addition of a thickener, etc., by using a hydroxide and/or org. acid salt of Ba and Y for each Ba source and Y source, and an org. acid salt of Cu for the Cu source, and removing a solvent from a uniform soln. of specified amt. of each of the above described material, and calcining a uniform coagulated body obtd. thereby. CONSTITUTION:Each specified amt. of Ba(OH)2 and Ba salt of an org. acid (e.g., 1-18C carboxylic acid salt), as a Ba source, Y(OH)3 and or an org. acid salt of Y as a Y source, and an org. acid salt of Cu as a Cu source, is dissolved uniformly in a solvent such as water to obtain a uniform soln. Then, the viscosity of the soln. is increased by concentrating the soln. slowly at, for example, 50-100 deg.C. A film-shaped or wire-shaped product is obtd. by, for example, coating a soln. having 1-10000cp viscosity on a substrate such as MgO, Al2O3, etc., or by extruding and drawing a soln. having 5000-150000cp viscosity through a nozzle. After drying, the product is calcined in oxidizing atmosphere at 500-1000 deg.C, thus a Ba-Y-Cu-O type oxide superconductor is obtd. |
