PURPOSE:To maintain the heat generating temperature of a heat-generating element at a constant optimum transfer temperature by reducing the pulse width of the final intermittent pulse of an intermittent pulse applied to a drive part to 1/n based on printing data. CONSTITUTION:If a start signal 29 is applied to ternary counter 26, Q1 of the ternary counter becomes 1. Therefore, OUT2 outputs a forced OFF signal and even after that, a forced OFF signal is output from OUT2 each time Q1 of the ternary counter becomes 1. OUT1 outputs HOLD signal to a 32-ary counter and the 32-ary counter holds 1 as a count. This counting is repeated until the output (OUT A) of the 32-ary counter reaches at least 8. If the output reaches at least 8, A is greater than or equal to B. Therefore, an output from a comparator becomes 0. If the count of the 32-ary counter 27 ends with 31, a pulse waveform of pulse count corresponding to the content of correction printing data is input to each driver circuit. Each heat-generating element 11 is kept to a constant heat-generating temperature by the intermittent pulse. |
