PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compsn. sinterable at a low temp. in a nonoxidizing atmosphere and having a low coefft. of thermal expansion and a low dielectric constant by using ZrSiO4, B2O3, SiO2, Al2O3 and two or more among MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:Starting materials are mixed in a prescribed ratio and the mixture is calcined, e.g., at 800-900 deg.C to obtain the title compsn. consisting of, by weight, 40-75% ZrSiO4, 3.5-7.0% B2O3, 10-45% SiO2, 3.5-10% Al2O3 and 5-20%, in total, of two or more among MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO. |
