PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting ceramic having high critical temp. and being usable stably in liquid N2 by calcining a mixture consisting of each powder of Sc2O3, Y2O3, Yb2O3, BaCO3, SrCO3, and CuO in a specified compositional ratio. CONSTITUTION:A mixture is obtd. by mixing powdery Sc2O3, powdery Y2O3, powdery Yb2O3, powdery BaCO3, powdery SrCO3, and powdery CuO in a proportion of Sc, Y, Yb, Ba, Sr, Cu, and O so as to satisfy the conditions defined by (Sc+Y+Yb)=1; Ba=0.8-1.5; Sr=0.5-1.2; Cu=2.5-4.0; Sc=0.1-0.5; Y=0.3-0.8; Yb=0.1-0.5. The mixture is then, if necessary, precalcined, and calcined finally at 970-1100 deg.C thereafter. |
