Adjusting device for a combined brake

The invention relates to an automatic adjusting device for a brake with one or two hydraulic pistons arranged opposite one another and with adjusting parts arranged within the piston and following the pressure exerted on the latter, these parts comprising a screw and a nut. The object of the invention is to prevent adjustment in the range in which the hydraulic pressure exceeds a particular value. The invention solves the object in principle by using the difference between the atmospheric outside pressure and the pressure in the pressure chamber to prevent adjustment. This is accomplished by means of two sealing rings whose sealing lips rest ever more firmly against the piston wall as the pressure increases and thus prevent rotation of the adjusting device and hence adjustment above a certain pressure. <IMAGE>
