Arrangement for balancing axle brake discs

The arrangement for balancing axle brake discs having two displaced friction rings 1 and bolt-shaped or web-shaped ventilation elements 3 connecting these together comprises two balance weights 6, designed in principle as wedge shapes. The balance weights 6 are inserted between two neighbouring ventilation elements 3 in the radially outer region of the axle brake disc and wedged against each other by means of their wedge design. In the wedged condition, each balance weight 6 engages behind at least one section of a ventilation element 3 in the radial direction, so that reliable transfer of centrifugal force is achieved. In the wedged position, the balance weights 6 can be secured in their position relative to each other by securing means, for example a spot-weld 11. Shapes of the balance weights 6 matched to the bolt-shaped or web-shaped form of the ventilation elements are possible. The arrangement enables low-cost and simple balancing of axle brake discs of various sizes and constructional types. <IMAGE>
