PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature of the title device from rising by providing a cutoff device made of a shape memory alloy and stopping the supply of air to a catalyst when the temperature thereof becomes a specified one or more. CONSTITUTION:When left-over developer is continuously oxidized with the aid of the catalyst 108, the temperatures in a combustion tank 98, a cover 116 and an air exhaust room 118 rise. However, they do not usually become equal to or exceeding the specified temperature since heat is radiated by a heat radiation fin 120. When calorific value is abnormally increased and the temperatures of the combustion tank 98 and the cover 116 become high to reach the specified temperature, the shape of wire materials 130 and 136 made of the shape memory alloy changes like coil and an air supply port 116A and an exhaust port 116B are closed by moving a lid 124 and a movable lid 132. Thus, the supply of air to the catalyst 108 is stopped and the temperatures of the combustion tank 98 and the cover 116 do not become the specified one or more because the oxidation action is stopped. |
