PURPOSE:To carry out both setting and stabilization of charging voltage for a storage capacitor and to make a d.c. low voltage power source of non- stabilization to be served for a power supply, and to miniaturize a power source apparatus, by a structure wherein a series inverter mode is employed to control switching elements. CONSTITUTION:A power source apparatus for laser oscillator employs a series inverter mode which comprises a first control circuit 16 which outputs a first control signal, and a second control circuit 17 which receives the first control signal and outputs a second control signal by which a constant of an inductor 2 disposed in series on a primary side of a pulse transformer 5 is controlled. Accordingly, no high tension power source is necessary, and both input current and voltage of the pulse transformer 5 are controlled by both a signal which is produced by detecting an output voltage of the pulse transformer 5 and by comparing the output voltage with a reference voltage, and a trigger signal of a thyratoron 9, so that the stable operation of the power source apparatus can be carried out, and commutation failure of the thyratoron 9 is effectively prevented. |
