PURPOSE:To obtain a toner having good light transmittability, heat resistance and shape stability by laminating a shell layer consisting of a synthetic resin on the surface of core particles consisting of a coloring agent and thermoplastic resin and specifying the compsn. and properties of the core particles and the shape of toner particles. CONSTITUTION:The toner is formed by laminating the shell layer consisting of the charge control agent and synthetic resin on the outside surface of the core particles consisting of the coloring agent and thermoplastic resin. This toner is so formed that the softening point of the thermoplastic resin to be used for the core particles is <=150 deg.C, the number average mol.wt. 1,000-15,000, and the mol.wt. distribution <=3 and that the fluctuation coefft. of the grain size of the toner itself is <15 and the shape coefft. <=150. The toner which has the excellent light transmittability, is capable of forming a sharp chromatic image, has the excellent heat resistance and shape stability and the stable electrostatic charge quantity and has the excellent developability without having fogging and toner splashing is thereby obtd. |
