PURPOSE:To accurately grind a round corner of a throw-away tip by correcting the position of round corner of the throw-away tip with reference to the outer periphery while correcting the corner radius so that the round corner is formed to continue to adjacent outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:After the whole outer periphery of a throw-away tip S1 is ground, the diameter phi1 of an inscribed circle in this tip S1 is measured. A difference between the measured diameter and the reference diameter phi0 of a reference inscribed circle in a reference throw-away tip S0 is substituted in a preset correction formula to correct the position of round corner M1 with reference to the outer periphery. Then, the corner radius R1 is corrected to grind the round corner M1 so that the round corner M1 is formed to continue to the adjacent outer periphery. Thus the dispersion of position of the round corner M1 with reference to the outer periphery can be restrained small so that the round corner M1 can be accurately ground. |
