Cooked energetic food for animals, especially for Equidae, characterised in that it comprises, before cooking, the following constituents: Oats: 3 to 7 % by weight; Barley: 3 to 7 % by weight; Linseed: 1 to 5 % by weight; Bran: 0.2 to 3 % by weight; Glucose syrup: 4 to 8 % by weight; Salt: less than 0.1 % by weight; Sodium bicarbonate: less than 0.1 % by weight; Water: 88 to 70 % by weight; and in that it is sold as ready-to-use, packaged in an aseptic packaging.
