The invention relates to devices making it possible to damp out longitudinal vibrations appearing when a linear antenna is pulled along by a boat. It consists, in a damping hose including four layers 2 of wires wound in a helix in directions which alternate from one layer to the next, in fixing the angle of inclination A of the helices formed by the two inner layers at a value which is substantially equal to 40 DEG .
